𓇼 THE ANSWERS TO ALL YOUR QUESTIONS 𓇼
Q: WHERE WILL MY SESSION BE?
I am located on the Central Coast, NSW.
We are incredibly fortunate to have so many beautiful beaches and locations available to us. Your location will be decided based on your desired results, weather and skill level for in water sessions.
Sessions are also available between Newcastle and Sydney (travel fees may apply).
I often travel the East Coast of Australia with limited sessions available for you ocean lovers. Follow me on instagram @seathroughthelensphotography to be the first to know when I have sessions pop up in your town!
Q: HOW LONG ARE YOUR SESSIONS?
My sessions last approximately 60 minutes.
Q: WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?
I am constantly checking the weather leading up to your session. I will always keep you in the loop about any potential changes. I want you to have the best experience and photographs so I am super flexible if we need to reschedule.
Q: WHAT TIME OF DAY ARE YOUR SESSIONS?
Most sessions are held either the hour from sunrise or hour prior to sunset. We will discuss the best timing to achieve your vision once you have booked in your session.
Q: WHAT DO I WEAR?
I am here to provide guidance on outfits, colours and styles, but the most important thing is that you are comfortable. The best images are captured when you feel like yourself - so wear something that makes you feel beautiful, but don’t wear something you would never wear if it wasn’t for your shoot.
Q: DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes! Please ask me more about this when we chat.
See more about my sessions and pricing HERE.
Q: I CAN’T DECIDE WHICH PHOTO’S I WANT - CAN I STILL UPGRADE AFTER MY GALLERY HAS BEEN DELIVERED?
Absolutely!
Q: DO YOU GIVE OUT RAW PHOTOS?
No. All images in your gallery are edited to my individual style. Post production is a huge part of my craft and I take great pride in creating one of a kind images for you.
Q: HOW LONG UNTIL I RECEIVE MY GALLERY?
Post production time can take 4-6 weeks, please factor this in when booking your session.
Q: DO YOU OFFER GIFT VOUCHERS?
I sure do!
Q: MY PARTNER HATES PHOTOS AND WHAT IF MY KIDS MISBEHAVE?
Let’s be honest, very few people actually love having their photo taken. Thats why my approach to your sessions is all about you having a great time with your loves ones, while I tag along to capture it.
Your session is planned to what you and your family LOVE to do, there is plenty of time and space for your little ones to just be themselves and have a tonne of FUN!
No forced smiles, uncomfortable poses or doing something they don’t want to. Just you and your tribe, carefree and in your element.
Q: YOU POST A LOT OF SEA LIFE, WILL THEY BE IN MY PHOTOS?
The beauty of the ocean is that it is different every day and you never know what gems you might see.
I can’t guarantee any sea life will join us, but if this is something you’re hoping for there are certain places where you are more likely to have a chance of some visitors. Please let me know if this is your vision as travel may be required.
I will never force an animal interaction and am a HUGE advocate of respecting the ocean and all of its creatures.
If they choose to show up, take in the magic unfolding in front of you and I’ll have you covered with my camera ✨
Q: DO I HAVE TO GET IN THE WATER?
Nope! You can choose to have your whole session on land or a mix of both land and ocean.

Q: HOW DOES AN IN WATER SESSION WORK?
I will choose the safest location for your session.
We will meet on the beach and walk into the ocean for some shallow shots and then swim out for some deeper ones (if you are comfortable)

Q: I’M NOT A STRONG SWIMMER, CAN I STILL GET IN WATER PHOTOS?
You don’t need to be an Olympic swimmer, however you do need to be comfortable in the water.
For deeper sessions you will need to be able to tread water, dive beneath the surface and float on your back.
Shallow sessions are held where you can stand or kneel safely.
We will discuss your swimming ability prior to the session to plan the best location and experience for you.
Your safety is my number one priority.
Q: CAN I BRING PROPS?
I want to capture you and all that you are, which means that appropriate props can be a great addition to your session.
If you’re a surfer or bodyboarder - bring your board,
If your family spends their weekends on the boat - bring it!
If your little grom’s skate or ride bmx - bring their board/bikes!
I want to document your true story.
*IMPORTANT FOR IN WATER SESSIONS*
You must have full control of all props for the entirety of their use during your session. Once you are finished with that prop, it needs to go back to shore, it can’t remain floating with us.
If you wish to incorporate props into your session please let me know prior so we can plan accordingly.
Q: WHEN SHOULD I BOOK A MATERNITY SESSION?
In water maternity sessions are best held anytime from 28 weeks onwards.
Sandy shores sessions are generally held from 32 weeks onwards.
If you’re wanting to book in a session, please get in contact so that we can discuss the best timing for you.
Q: CAN MY PARTNER/FAMILY BE IN MY MATERNITY PHOTOS?
Absolutely!
For in water sessions with kids, it is important that you bring another adult with you who can take care of your children while you are getting your single shots.
I will be in and under the water with you which means that neither of us will be able to properly watch the little ones, so it is essential that they have another caregiver there for them during this time.
Safety first!
